Zontec is pleased to announce the
compatibility of the entire
Synergy SPC software family with Microsoft
Windows® 7 client operating system, which was issued for beta testing
earlier this month. The next-generation Microsoft product features
better performance, reliability and security. A release date for the
final commercial version of Windows 7 has not been announced yet by
Microsoft.

Zontec has announced the immediate availability of Version 6.0 for its Synergy 1000™ Statistical Process Control Software.
An update release, Synergy 1000 Version 6.0 contains 10 new features
and program enhancements, making it the most robust standalone or
workgroup SPC application available today. Version 6.0 builds on the
real-time, production based capabilities, adverse event alarms,
reporting and traceability tools designed into previous releases of the
software along with an even greater emphasis on usability.
Synergy 1000 Version 6.0 includes:
- Simpler setup screen for creating process files with up to 500 measurement or inspection characteristics at a time
- Highly detailed certificate of analysis report
- E-mail notification for out-of-control and/or out-of specification conditions
- Rainbow control chart

Zontec today announced support for its Synergy 3000™ statistical process control (SPC) software on the Apple iPhone™ 3G.
"The compatibility between these two technology leaders gives manufacturing personnel another exciting new mobile device for real-time quality assurance," says Zontec President Warren Ha.
Using the Apple iPhone web browser over a cellular network, quality assurance personnel or suppliers can collect real-time production data securely via the Synergy 3000 Web Operator application. Data is stored on a centralized Microsoft SQL Server® database from anywhere in the world. In addition, the Synergy 3000 Web Operator application can be used for process monitoring, SPC charting and referencing SOPs, engineering drawings and instructional guides over the iPhone's Multi-Touch widescreen display. Synergy 3000 can also be used to transmit e-mail alerts to iPhone 3G users whenever a manufacturing process goes out of control. SPC charts can easily be captured as screenshots and e-mailed to internal staff or customers to document process conditions.
"The Apple iPhone 3G is an extremely flexible and cost-effective alternative to proprietary handheld data recorders for companies who are interested in automated data entry in an ultra-portable form factor," notes Ha.
However, the benefits of Synergy 3000 on the iPhone 3G aren't limited solely to the plant floor environment. A second, complementary Synergy 3000 browser application, the Web Manager, provides a dashboard view of enterprise-wide processes along with advanced reporting capabilities to telecommuters and staff members in global locations.
